What is CoQ10 used for?
Quick Links

CoQ10, or coenzyme Q10, is a naturally occurring chemical in your body that converts food into energy. The active form of CoQ10 is called ubiquinol, a powerful antioxidant. [1]

As your body performs its daily metabolic activities, it releases several damaging chemicals called free radicals. Free radicals can damage your DNA and cell membrane and cause cellular death.

Several studies have shown that when free radicals are allowed to act unchecked, they can accelerate aging. [2]

Antioxidants help to curb the harmful effects of these free radicals. CoQ10 is one such antioxidant

CoQ10 neutralize free radicals and even prevents possible damage from them. [3]

The busiest organs in the body, such as the heart, lungs, and liver, contain the highest levels of CoQ10.

Consequently, these organs are hit the hardest when the natural levels of CoQ10 are reduced.
