Glycemic Index

Glycemic Index (GI) is a rating system for foods containing carbohydrates. It tells you, relatively, how high your blood glucose (sugar) levels go two hours after consuming that food. The higher the number the faster its effect on your blood sugar levels. Glucose has a glycemic index of 100.
